about us

Meat buying is a thankless job.  I know, I have been there. If you do an excellent job this week purchasing products at the bottom of the market and save your company tons of money, increase your sales, and increase profits then you have done your job. If you miss the market next week, then you are regarded as the biggest overpaid fool in the company

Meat Price Relationships was created by a 40 plus year professional in the meat industry who has worked for IBP/Tyson Fresh Meats for 13 years, Cargill Meat Solutions for 8 years, and JBS Swift Beef and Pork for 5 years selling both beef and pork. I also have a BS degree in Finance as well as being a meat cutter. I have also been a buyer for a total of 7 years for retail, foodservice and processor operations. I have also worked for other companies in the meat industry in various capacities.

This website is the result of my experience in the Meat Business. My name is Tom Toliver. I have called on retail, foodservice, and processor customers all over this country. The packers have a legion of accountants, IT experts, and managers dedicated to interpreting the ebbs and flows of the beef and pork business. We have endeavored to assemble this historical public access information for you to aid in your decision making. This historical statistical information shows the tendencies of price increases and decreases. Our website has over 34,000 lines of data to assist in your daily decisions of what and when to make your buys.
